This retouched Chinese ceramic is from the site of Khor Fakkan, Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, dating to ca. 600 BP.

This is the base of a blue and white stoneware bowl made in Jingdezhen, China.  The perimeter of the vessel was trimmed by percussion blows, resulting flake scars and sections broken away by bending.  The purpose of the trimmed object is unknown.

The artefact is curated by the Sharjah Archaeology Authority.  Scale approximate.
